A broken man with a dark history. Trained as a young child by his commoner father in the psudo magical arts. Quickly establishing himself as a master magician. At the age of seven, he made his first attempt at high magic, summoning an angelic spirit. But the spirit found his disrespectful and arrogant attitude offensive and cursed him with a fated death. Forced to outlive everyone he knows and loves and suffer alone, only to die by the hands of a friend.
His father having connections to the royal family allowed cade to rise high in social standing. However at the age of twenty, he found himself in a bar fight where he slaughtered four men and was arrested. The previous imperial inquisitor seemed to see a part of himself within cade and offered him a choice. Execution or servitude, the young cade fearful of death, chose servitude. Thus he was recruited by the imperial assassins guild. Trained to turn his fear of death into at weapon to destroy the enemies of the kingdom.
For fifteen years he served as an elite assassin of the crown. With his psudo magical talent he became one of the most efficient killers within the guild. Known throughout the kingdom as the redhand. The bloody fist of the king, a loyal servant to the royal family and under the direct authority of the high inquisitor.
All was right in the world. Until something happened that he did not expect. He fell in love with a young noble woman, a beauty unlike anything he had ever seen. Together they had a daughter and they lived together in the capital in relative peace. But cades father in law, the baron of a large city in the west was found openly mocking the king. Even going so far as to threaten the kings life in an open crowd.
Little did Cade know, this was the beginning of his descent into darkness. The whole of his wife's noble family was summoned to the palace for unknown reasons. And before his very eyes, the high inquisitor he once knew and loved ordered the imprisonment of his wife as collateral against her noble father. It was only when his wife and father both attacked the king and inquisitor in the midst of the throne room that they were killed by the guards. His wifes noble family accused of taking part in a grand conspiracy to kill the king. Cade was horrified as his wife was torn from his arms.
His five year old daughter ran after his wife's collapsed body as the guards attempted to control the situation. Even grabbing the guards arm as the high inquisitor to keep the child out of harms way. Unfortunately the child became hysterical wailing against one of the guards. In a moment of pure horror the guard aggressively shoved the child to the ground. Striking her head hard against the ground and killing her unintentionally. Cade unsheathed his blade and charged at the guard to defend his family. But the inquisitor seemed to have expected this and he was quickly held back by more guards behind him.
Cade quickly fell into a moment of pure rage he fell pulled a knife from his side and killed the guard who pushed his child. The king entered the chamber and before he could say a word, the high inquisitor and the king seemed to have no intention of execution but the flurry of emotions lead to their deaths. Full of grief and desperate for vengeance, he gazed into the eyes of both the king and high inquisitor and defiantly responded. "In the name of all that is holy and all that is foul. In the name of all the gods and spirits of this world. I will exterminate your bloodline from the face of this world!"
