GLACIAN BEASTS
Mammoth | Sabercat | Tricorn | Megalonyx | Glyptodon
MAMMOTH: Giant woolly elephants often used as mounts by frost giants of the frozen north. Sheparded by frost giants for their meat, they are fiercely protective of their young and extremely powerful in combat with tusks sharper then any spear. Wild Mammoths migrate from the glacian tundra to the forest of greywood once every year in herds numbering in the hundreds.
SABERCAT: Massive bear sized saber toothed cats. Solitary creatures that reside primarily in the northern lands on the edge of the glacic wilds. Ambush hunters that could easily take down prey many times their size. Many hunters in the north will often take the teeth of these animals as a prize. Though only the best of the best could ever take on a Sabercat on their own.
TRICORN: Giant three horned woolly rhinos that live in herds of a dozen or so. Fiercely territorial, only the largest and most ferocious of the herd are able to mate, in the southern regions, these creatures are of near mythical status. Extremely rare and difficult to find, but be sure to keep your distance. A Tricorn wont hesitate to charge at those who threaten their herd.
MEGALONYX: Giant sloths with razor sharp claws, residing within the far north. They are slow and lazy creatures but not easily frightened. Only living in small family groups of half a dozen or less. These massive beasts of the north feed on frozen fruit and often live near wooded areas where food is easier to find. Able to slash through armor like slicing through snow.
GLYPTODON: Giant armadillo like creatures with large tusks and claws. Their shell is nearly impenetrable, only able to be pierced by enchanted weaponry. Although slow and bulky, they never back down from a fight. Having a extremely solid defense with the ferocity and aggressiveness to match any challenger that gets within its reach.
