FELAND BEASTS
Arachni | Scarak | Kreen | Mudworm | Fungili | Aboleth | Darkling | Lemure
ARACHNI: Giant spiders of various sizes, from the size of a small dog to the size of a large bolder. These creatures never stop growing and often live for several centuries. The oldest and largest are known to reach the size of a house. They are treated as vermin by the dark drugar of the felands. Though spider silk from these creatures are highly sought after to craft fire and heat resistant clothing. Their venom is more toxic the younger and smaller they are. Thus Arachni nests are often hunted and the young captured to have their potent venom extracted.
SCARAK: Giant beetles with pincers able to smash through solid rock. Scarak shells are often sought after to create extremely durable shields with exotic patterns. Stronger then steel and resistant to fire and explosives. Making these Scarak shields extremely useful when combating dragons. Scarak are typically the size of large bears or other dire beasts, but they are slow lumbering creatures. As long as you stay out of reach their immense pincers, you only need to worry about getting under their extremely hard shells to kill them.
KREEN: Humanoid insects with the appearance of a giant mantis. With four arms and an armored body they are easy enough to deal with alone. But in large numbers they are known to swarm their enemies. Having an intense drive to defend their nest and their queen which can have up to several hundred members. The Felyan waged a long war against the Kreen many centuries ago, driving them back into the darkest corners and crevices of the felands.
MUDWORM: Large worms with a razor sharp ring of teeth known to grow up to ten feet long. Mudworms often reside in lakes and rivers of mud and clay that are very common within the felands. Ambush predators, they often live in colonies of several dozen and lie in wait for someone to come near. Dragging them into the mud and attempting to drown them. Their teeth are sharp enough to pierce iron but reinforced steel is typically strong enough to resist their circular bites. Known to leech the blood from their victims.

FUNGILI: Humanoid mushroom monster anywhere from eight to nine feet tall. Believed to be an ancient species of dark faerie. Living in clans of a hundred or so individuals in small nomadic camps. They are known for raiding Felyan villages and are the source of a great deal of conflict in the shadow lands. Although they have no spoken or written language, they are known to be purely telepathic, able to communicate through pure thought in any language. Extremely territorial and known to cannibalize other humanoid races, feeding their victims to their children who absorb them over time.
ABOLETH: Aboleths are fish-like amphibious creatures that reside in the murky depths of the felands and the bleak waters of underground lakes. They resemble bizarre eels, having long bodies between fifty to sixty feet in length. They have three blood-red eyes and have a multitude of tentacles just past the head. While not always visible, aboleths also have horrific circular maws like that of a lamprey, lined with many terrible fangs. Aboleth bodies constantly exude a slimy grey mucous which they require to breathe. This Aboleth mucus can be collected by alchemists to craft water breathing potions.
DARKLING: Corrupted dark dwarves, with fiery blood red glowing eyes and pure white hair. Native to the deepest, darkness caverns of the felands. Their hair, bright red with black skin made of pure obsidian. Many say they gazed upon the fiery heart of the world and were driven insane. They never speak, driven into madness by intense hunger and prolonged isolation. Extremely violent creatures, they attack anything in sight with pure rage in their hearts. Capable of morphing their obsidian body into weapons to fight their enemies.
LEMURE: Ancient crimson skinned, horned demons of the ancient world. With large black claws, talons, bat like wings as razor sharp as any blade and a spiked tail coated in toxic venom. Infernal spirits cursed with a cloak of immortal flesh. Forced deep underground within the felands by various wars with the drugar many centuries ago. Solitary creatures, they are invulnerable to most infernal and elemental spells. Only enchanted weapons are capable of doing any damage to them. Many view them as myth, but those who delve deep enough into the felands will learn the terrible truth of giant ten foot demons that slaughter any who enter their lair.
