WARGS
GLACIAN / PRIMARIAN / OATHIAN / FELYAN / FURIYAN
You could not ask for a more vicious mount. Wargs are a race of large quadrupedal predators resembling wolves or sometimes large cats, though not canine nor feline and are apparently more related to or even bred from/with ancient giant sloths. They were bred alongside Orcs and have developed an ancient connection with them ingrained into their blood. Due to this, only the Orcs were capable of domesticating them to their cause, while other races could only tame them.
Wargs, on average, are as big and strong as large bears, capable tossing around and crushing the skulls of grown men with little issue. Their speed is roughly equal to that of a horse and have extreme levels of endurance, making them perfect persistence hunters, while also being as agile like dogs. Their sense of smell and hearing are also powerful, allowing them to track prey over long distances and keep guard in the dead of night. Most Wargs can swim with decent speed and agility in the water.
They reach maturity at around 5 years but they have a surprising lifespan of 80-100 in the wilds, and 100-130 in captivity, with ages 10-75 being their prime. This often makes them outlive their Orc Masters if they do not die in combat and makes them near impossible to domesticate for other races as unlike horses or dogs, a single tamer cannot breed submissiveness into a family in their lifetime.
However, they are naturally welcoming to Orcs. Their social structure differs from variant to variant but they are pack hunters, coordinating in groups of Wargs to take down prey. They are naturally social creatures and are capable of showing a variety of emotions, primarily anger and distaste though. Wargs are surprisingly intelligent and are capable of recognizing their own reflection.

GLACIAN WARGS: Glacian Wargs are known for their warm pelts covered in white fur. They are often more solitary than the other Wargs as they often hunt in packs of three only. However, they are the largest of the Wargs and one of the smartest. Glacian Wargs are greatly resistant to the cold and can freely hunt in the worse of winters. They have the strongest of noses among Wargs which allow them to hunt through snow storms where visibility is an impossibility. Glacian Wargs are also great swimmers and can move gracefully in the waters, capable of holding their breath for well over two hours.
PRIMARIAN WARGS: Primarian Wargs are the most agile of wargs with the deadliest of weapons. Their claws are longer and grow sharper to latch onto trees and cut through their prey. They are known for their large leaps, allowing them to almost climb over city walls, making them arguably one of the best mounts for a siege. They hunt in packs of ten but have poor coordination due to noticeable lack in intelligence compared to other Wargs. These Wargs, even for Orcs, are hard to tame since they had run off from Orc Territories long ago and evolved without them.
OATHIAN WARGS: Oathian Wargs are the smartest and most social of Wargs, easiest to domesticate and tame due to arguably being the least aggressive, though still plenty aggressive compared to most other beasts. While not as big as Glacian Wargs, they are bigger than Primarian Wargs and Felyan Wargs and while not as fast as Furiyan Wargs, they're faster than most other Wargs though only marginally. They're fairly well-rounded, though their claws are non retractable, making them dull weapons. They hunt in packs of around thirty, and have strong bonds. Due to being the smartest of Wargs, and subsequently can rationalize fear better, it is very difficult to damage their morale in comparison to other Wargs and other beasts like horses, following the commands of the rider religiously. Their hides are also considerably thicker than other Wargs, making them in some degree tougher.
FELYAN WARGS: Felyan Wargs are alien compared to the other kinds of Wargs. They are blind with slowly fading eyes and instead rely on their incredible hearing and smell to navigate the caves of the Felands. In spite of being the smallest of all the Wargs, they have the strongest bite force which compliments their style of ambush hunting as they dig holes in which they and their Orc Master can hide in before striking decisively on unassuming prey. Their claws are blunted and unretractable like the Oathian Wargs, using to dig through stone and soil, but they have odd minute spines underneath their paws that can jut out and pierce stone and skin, allowing them to grab onto surfaces and prey with great strength along with climb vertically up walls and even on ceilings. Felyan Wargs only hunt with their mate if not with their master/s.

FURIYAN WARGS: Furiyan Wargs are very highly cultured and sought for, and are usually regarded as better than most other Wargs due to the simple fact that the Red Orcs are known best as mounted warriors, therefore their mounts have a stronger emphasis. While superiority is debatable, most Wargs under their care grow larger and live longer because they are well kept and treated. Furiyan Wargs are the fastest of any Warg and can run unimpeded by desert terrain. They are noticeably more agile than Oathian Wargs, and are marginally larger on average. Their endurance is also the best of the races of Wargs and combined with their extreme resistance to heat, allows them to be heavily armored without any reduction to speed or stamina. They often hunt in packs of 20, having moderate intelligence, but are often trained more extensively than other Wargs, hardening them for tense situations.
