Vulcis is a man of law and order, he has little mercy or empathy for rule breakers and criminals. Some may call him vindictive, but honestly he simply seeks order. Chaos is unpleasant to Vulcis in all its forms. While he not above torturing criminals, he sees himself as an honorable man. Keeping his promises and when he when he says he'll get something done, he will stop at nothing to make it happen.

Vampirism - Being a 3rd generation vampire/dampyr, Vulcis has all the benefits of agelessness, regeneration, telepathy and physical enhancements with the drawbacks of vulnerability to sunlight lycanthrope venom, dragons blood, undead blood and the acidic touch of silver.
Mask of Sight - His mask is enchanted with a lesser angelic spirit. Allowing him to both see through and foil illusions and have greater resistance to mental manipulation such as hypnosis.

High Steel Saber - Alchemically enhanced steel saber infused with the bile of a basilisk. A single scratch of the blade will paralyze most people within a minute or so. The effect lasting for several hours which makes it useful for capturing criminals on the run.
Embroidered Cloak - A simple red cloak with golden inlay and crafted from arachne silk. Making it resistant to tearing and extreme heat or cold.
Plated Leather Tunic - A unique under tunic of hardened leather with smaller disconnected steel plates woven into the interior of the fabric. Not the greatest defense against larger weapons, but against smaller weapons such as daggers and short swords it typically does the trick.

At the age of fourteen his father grew sick with black lung after spending decades mining coal with very little pay. This is what lead him down the path of alchemy and potion crafting. Seeking a cure for his fathers disease. Eventually apprenticing under the quirky town alchemist.
He had always been a stickler for the rules, the mathematical order and perfectionism that was a part of alchemy drew him in, eventually becoming quite skilled in his craft. But it was at the age of twenty that his love of order truly took over his heart. His fathers death broke his heart, but it was when his mother and younger brother were murdered by thieves who broke into their family home which forged his hatred of crime, chaos and lawlessness.
Applying for membership to the inquisitorial guild at the age of twenty one. Being a law enforcer and bounty hunter was a dream come true. Under the guidance of his elders, he slowly learned the art of diabolism and inquisitorial magic. Finding subtle and unique methods of countering and nullifying various types of magic. But there was one event that changed him forever.
At the age of twenty six, Vulcis was called to investigate a series of murders in the city of Vaerm. Little did he know it was a trueborn vampire, a woman who cornered him in a dark ally. Believer her to be some kind of undead he prepared for a fight, but she was quicker then he realized. He woke up the next morning in the shade of a basement, the sunlight scorching to the touch. She had turned him into a 3rd generation dampyr.
In time he learned to hone his new abilities and overcome his weaknesses as best he could. Covering himself head to toe in order to do his job properly. In time he ascended the ranks, being chosen by the grandfather of the current king as the official high inquisitor and chief enforcer of imperial law.
