White Dragon: Also known as frost Dragons, or winter dragons. They are found scattered throughout the frozen hills of the glacic wilds. With a frosty breath able to freeze its target in solid ice and the ability to exude an blizzard like aura of snow, allowing it to vanish from sight. These beasts are the smallest and shortest lived of all true dragons. Only living up to four hundred years and growing up thirty-five feet tall. These White dragons are persistent hunters, once they've decided on their target prey, they will never stop the hunt. Some travelers saying that once they've caught someone's scent, a white dragon will track you down for miles on end without loosing its target.
Black Dragon: Also known as deep dragons or swamp dragons due to their instinctual habit of nesting in thick brush of the wetlands, hidden and camouflaged from sight. Only ascending above to hunt during the night, typically around humid swamps and marshes. Living up to five hundred years and growing up to forty feet tall. Black dragons are purely nocturnal and have excellent night vision. Able to see in pure darkness as clearly as any drugar. Black dragons are known to exhale a thick black smog that slowly burns, blinds and suffocates those caught in it. As ambush hunters, they hide among the shadows awaiting for easy prey to unknowingly wander close.
Brown Dragon: Also known as earth dragons or ground dragons. Similar to yellow dragons in many ways but smaller in size. Capable of consuming solid rock and heating it within themselves to spit out magma at enemies. Found living in the rocky hills of the savannah and open plains of Furiya. Living up to five hundred years and growing up to forty feet tall. Brown dragons are ruthless hunters and known to torment their prey until they grow bored and eventually coat them in lava to instantly cook and eat them whole. Brown dragons are believed to be able to camouflage with their rocky surroundings. Appearing as still, silent and unnoticed an a jagged boulder.
Yellow Dragon: Also known as sand dragons or desert dragons, able to live up to six hundred years and grow up to forty-five feet tall. These creatures are fierce predators and are great threats to the southern nomads of the scarlet sands. Being a creature of the desert it is practically immune to intense heat and are able to go months without food or water. It is believed that yellow dragons are capable of exuding a strong magical aura that summons powerful sand storms. Yellow dragons are some of the most curious dragons and will often chase or play with their prey before finishing a hunt. Yellow dragons have one of the most powerful breath weapons of all dragons, able to blast enemies with lightning.
Green Dragon: Also known as forest dragons, they are one of the most common species of dragons, able to grow up to forty-five feet tall and live up to seven hundred years. Green dragons were most notable for the large, waving crest or fin that started at the dragon's nose and ran the entire length of the dragon's body. Green dragons value their hunting grounds and sometimes fight other green dragons to defend their territory. They are sometimes known to trade safe passage for a worthy item to add to their hoards. Even so, they were extremely cunning and duplicitous foes, and loved double-crossing others. A traveler who stumbled into a green dragon's territory might be able to bribe the dragon for safe passage, but more often than not the dragon would pretend to agree and then attack the unsuspecting offender once their guard was down. Their breath weapon manifests as a transparent yet highly toxic acid fog that melts flesh and bone. With some legends claiming they could camouflage themselves among the trees to appear as nothing more then overgrown plant life.
Red Dragon: Also called fire dragons or mountain dragons. Red dragons are covetous creatures consumed by greed. Interested only in their what will make their vanity grow and the extension of their treasure hoards. They are supremely confident of their own abilities and are prone to making snap decisions without any forethought. Red dragons are well known as both the largest and longest lived species of dragon. Known to live up to one thousand years and grow up to fifty feet tall. If one could describe their stench it would be the smell of smoke and sulfur, as they use their intense fiery breath to both warm themselves and cook their prey. Red dragons love to make their lairs in high mountainous regions and shallow caves, especially if there is volcanic activity. Almost all red dragons have an instinctual desire for a high perch. The higher the better as they believe that their domain encompasses all that they can see.
Blue Dragon: Also known as storm dragons or sea dragons, these are the rarest species of dragon. With only a small population of blue dragons scattered throughout various islands and coastlands of world. Able to live up to seven hundred years and grow up to forty-five feet tall. While in the water, they use a kind of echolocation to see their surroundings and hunt prey. They are equally adept in flight as they are at swimming and will typically nest on small island caves near the shore of the sea.
