Elder Worms
"They bring strife and hardship yet left in their wake is salvation for many."
If there is one thing that the Red Orcs of the Hundred Tribes of Furiya are afraid of, it is the Elder Worms. Fear, however, is to be conquered. The Red Orcs have not only conquered it but profited off of the beasts. Elder Worms have long been associated with Destruction and Apocalyptic events yet they also represent a light and the end of a long, arduous suffering, and rebirth. Elder Worms burrow hundreds of kilometers beneath the sands, so deep that the Felyans can see traces of their kin making new tunnels after a perceived earthquake. They tunnel deep to find underwater reserved of water and eat whatever they can find in burrowing.
They do not look for food in a sense; they simply run into it. Whatever happens to run into their mouth, they swallow; be it rock, dirt, ore, Felyans, Greyskin Orcs or other underground dwellers. Their exoskeleton is near impervious, requiring specialized High Steel or magic to even break through. Entire villages of Felyans have been swallowed by these massive worms and their approach can be felt from miles away as the shaking of earth and sand can knock buildings down.
They only surface to breath, which they only do once every two years. They can hold their breaths up to a decade if they have to but refilling their air supply can take several months. During this time, they are simultaneously at their most dangerous and their most vulnerable. During this time, they now finally open their eyes and senses to hunt, taking villages and nomads off like snacks. Of course, this forces the hands of Red Orc Warlords. Hunting these beasts down has always been a testament to the strength and leadership of a Warlord, as well as being extremely profitable.
Their bodies hold much wealth of minerals and gems to can instantly make a Warlord rich beyond measure. The exoskeleton of the Elder Worm is used as the standard for the Hundred Tribes' currency, with one chip being worth a two and a half platinum shards.. The air inside, compressed and cold that rapidly bursts when released into the air, causing massive bouts of rain to circulate in the area for years to come combined with the soil inside of the beast's body, fertilized by its carcass, can lead to the birth of a rich oasis. A few settlements have been built on top of the remains of such a creature, leaving them to tend to a beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert.
