The following rules and policies are required knowledge for everyone who wishes to post in this forum. These rules apply universally and violating them may subject you to Moderator action. Please read them carefully and understand them well before posting. Check back regularly in case of any changes that could happen in the future.
Spamming - Whether in the form of regular posts or OOC, constant spamming is not tolerated. Please keep in mind that constant, pointless replies will result in punishment. If you have something you need to discuss to that extent, then please, take it to the PMs. The definition of spamming is also applied to posting in another persons RP thread with no intent of joining.
Images - When posting on this forum, images must be appropriate and PG13. If any inappropriate images are discovered on this forum the person responsible will receive a warning and if it continues you may receive a temporary or permanent ban, depending on the circumstance.
Flaming - This is no place for inflammatory discussions. No in depth political/religious arguments, no threats, no bullying, no vulgar insults. Disgusting behavior is not tolerated here in an way. I personally have thoughts and opinions some might find utterly offensive. That doesn't mean I'm going to share them here and start an argument. So keep all that in mind before running your mouth.
Advertisements - This includes any other roleplay forum, if your advertisement has nothing to do with that it will be promptly deleted. You may only bump or update your advertisement once every 24 hours. If you bump it more frequently on a regular basis, your advertisement may be deleted. We must also be able to link back as a guest in order to post our ad on your forum.
No One Liners - This is not meant to annoy you but to give the other members something to work with when roleplaying. There is no official post length requirement, however please try to put some effort and detail into your posts. The exact length of your post during a roleplay is up to you and those who are taking part.
Stay In Character - If you have a question or disagreement with the participants of a particular roleplay then take it to discord, private messages or create an OOC thread in the Out of Character board. Don't add out of character comments to an in game rpg thread. Remember every time you do that, moderators have to take the time to delete them all.
Combat - To put it simply, be detailed with your actions in combat. Never assume your attacks will hit their target and always give the other person an opportunity to respond. Never attempt to control another characters actions or reactions, this is god modding and that's not tolerated here.
Romance - When it comes to gameplay, romance is actually encouraged. As it adds a unique dynamic to the story. However try to keep the certain aspects of romance in the bedroom and out of the roleplay itself. We don't want in depth detail about how two lovers spent the night together.
NPC - All non player characters in any roleplay will be under the control of the person who first introduced them into the roleplay, as well as anyone they specifically give permission to control them. However in official forum wide "EVENT RP's" run by staff, it is the GM who will introduce and manage the NPC.
Originality - Be original when adding content to the forum. This means we don't want canons of any fandom already created. Stereotypes and archetypes are fine but don't use that as an excuse to make an exact parallel of something someone else has already made.
Fluid Time - When it comes to roleplay, we operate under the rules of fluid time. You can have multiple rp threads with the same character going on at different times and different places. But these threads need to be a connected timeline. One must lead to another. This way we maintain a linear storyline for your character and don't venture absurdly far into the past and future. If you open a 2nd roleplay thread then we recommend this encounter should occur no more then one month in the future or past of your previous thread. It may help to discuss with other members and staff about how your character could best transfer from one time and place to another.
Absence - We're all adults here and are a fairly relaxed community. We get it, real life comes first and we will do everything we can to help you prepare ahead of time. But in order to do that, staff needs some kind of notice if you plan on having an extended absence from the forum. That way we can assist in helping you wrap up any ongoing RP threads before you have to leave.
Adoption - Keep in mind we regularly keep track of character activity. If a character is inactive for one month without any warning or heads up to staff, we will drop the character and put it up for adoption. If any member wishes to adopt a dropped character, simply post a reply in that characters thread and let us know.
Characters - Members are allowed to have have as many original characters as they think they can handle, however each character must have its own separate account with the same name as that character. In addition, members are limited to only one canon character per category. Your characters should have as many flaws and weaknesses as they do skills and abilities. Staff will be reviewing all pending characters and will offer suggestions on how to keep them balanced. Keep in mind we do monthly activity checks on each character. So if you aren't able to keep up with all your characters we may recommend you drop them and offer them up for others to adopt it.
