Elementum Longsword - A gift from the dwarves of Faerdor after Marune and his army came to their aid during a goblin invasion five years ago. Heavy, nearly unbreakable and enchanted by a dwarven sorcerer with a ifrit (fire faerie). When wielded by a member of the Zephey family of pure noble blood the blade can be ignited at will. Wreathed in flame that melts through stone and metal.
Shield of Zephey - A high steel round shield engraved with the demon skull sigil of the noble house of Zephey. An ancient relic of his family said to have been forged by the mortal god himself and passed down through the Zephey family for generations. Alchemically infused with a hybrid compound of crushed red mana and the blood of an orc. When the shield is assaulted by a spell of infernal origin, the spell is absorbed and its power used to physically enhance the wielder who falls under a brutish rage. Taking the natural power of an orcs rage ability and enhancing it several times over. The stronger the infernal spell, the greater his physical strength, durability and endurance is enhanced. However doing this multiple times a day too quickly can often lead to the wielder loosing control, lost in their own mind as their rage consumes them. Sometimes taking many days to finally come to their senses.

While he is the 1st born and tradition demands he take his fathers place someday as Duke of the the South Western lands of the kingdom, he secretly fears the day. His father was his hero, a man of valor, loyalty, respected by all yet feared by many. But not by him, Marune adores his father and knows he would do anything for him.
However Marune's destiny was chosen for him from a young age. Being taller, stronger and more mature then most boys. With an unwavering and fiercely tactical mind. Thus he was elected to be trained as a general. Eventually rising the ranks of leadership and joining the elite Crusadrem Order at the age of twenty. Commander of the largest army in the known world.
His father had taught him to be forgiving, yet cunning in combat. Merciful, yet ruthless to those deserving his wrath. Kind, yet furious in the defense of his friends. Respectful, yet brutally honest to all who were worthy of his time. As the Mortal God was virtuous, so to should he be.

Marune has fought many battles over the past decade, some of them side by side with the high prince Kyron. Though he never feared the young prince, he could always sense the darkness within him.
